The Volunteer of the Year Award celebrates individuals whose volunteer efforts demonstrate leadership, commitment, and a positive influence on others, recognizing that meaningful service may take place within the National Payroll Institute, within the profession, or in the communities where members live and work.

Nominees should demonstrate achievement in the following areas:

• Volunteer Leadership: Demonstrates exemplary volunteerism, leadership, and service, and serves as a positive example to others.
• Contribution to the Institute, Profession, and/or Community: Has made meaningful voluntary contributions through service to the National Payroll Institute, the payroll profession, and/or the broader community.
• Commitment and Impact: Shows a sustained commitment to service and has had a positive and measurable impact through volunteer activities.
• Inspiration and Example: Encourages engagement, reflects the values of the Institute, and inspires others through their dedication, generosity, and conduct.

Eligibility

• Nominees must be members in good standing with the National Payroll Institute.
• The activities for which they are nominated must have been undertaken on a voluntary basis to the Institute or its members, and not for remuneration.
• Current members of the Board of Directors, the Nominations Committee, and employees are not eligible.
